Music Music has been a driving force throughout my life, though I go to it precious little these days. Soon, very soon, that will change. In the meantime I squeeze in what I can between fixing my house and working full time. I have decided to offer snippets of what I am working on here for anyone to listen to and download as you please. Going In - Reveal This is perhaps the most “tuneful” section of a forty-five minute introspective piece named Going In that I created several years back. This particular section was completely composed and recorded within two hours (thus the immediacy it evokes), straight into a Darwin hard-disc recorder, long since sold, but a good machine for its day. The Darwin, unfortunately, did not have any digital outputs so I had to use the analog outputs to capture the parts in Logic Pro, my DAW of choice, and remix from there. It's more of a feeling than a song, of course, as is the rest of the piece. I'll post the whole piece here someday, but in the meantime please enjoy this section — Reveal — decidedly the “happiest” section of the piece, where the seeker is at relative peace with himself and willing to focus on the good ... (right-click and use the “Save Link As ... ” command) Living In the Moment This repetitive dance piece was written in a single afternoon sometime in 2004 while I was living in Floyd, Virginia. It was composed and intended as a Club/Electronica dance piece, thus its repeititve nature, but when you are singing the line "Living In the Moment" over and over, and wondering what should come next, you ultimately find there is nothing more that needs to be said! I want to redo this piece and add a B-section, but until I get to that project I thought it might be OK to simply post this piece the way it is, because it exudes the initial exuberance that was captured that day, in the moment, so long ago now.
