WINE is absolutely one of my favorite things in this physical world — its complexity, its capricious nature, the memories it harkens to, and those it creates — the endeavor of finding and consuming wine is often otherworldly, sometimes disappointing, to be sure, but mostly quite a bit of fun!
Tasting notes of some of the wines I've been drinking are located HERE, and here are also some other really great sites I think you should check out:
- Cliff & Darcey's Tasting Notes ... "On Wine"
- Read our own tasting notes, including our own ratings (for whatever they may be worth; mostly of value to us) and whether we would drink and/or buy the wine again.
- WINELIBRARY TV
- Gary Vaynerchuck is definitely one of my favorite wine tasters — honest, intelligent, knowledgeable, funny, goofy — and he has a video-blog which is a must-see on a daily basis. Learn and have fun at the same time, Gary brings it all down to the common-man (err, common-person) stressing that YOUR tastes are what should really matter to you, while recommending that we try different things, expand our palate, and stop drawing lines in the sand. He IS a NY Jets fan, but we don't hold that against him!

Changing the wine world.
Search Wine Library TV for a specific wine, or variety, or ...
- NOTE: Gary Vaynerchuk has written a BOOK! Yup, people who drink wine can also write, sometimes. Check his book out here!
- cork'd
- Cork'd is a great place to check out wine reviews by other members as well as cataloging your own wines, if you're lucky enough to have some wines in the "cellar!" It's a free site and by the time you read this it should be integrated with the WINELIBRARY TV site, described above. Check it out, sign up, and put me down as a "Drinking Buddy!" Do it NOW!
- Elliot Essman's Wine Pages
- Somehow or other I stumbled across this site and enjoyed reading Elliot's tasting notes on wines that I've tried and those that I now must try! A nice "Wine Knowledge" area as well as many other little tidbits of interest to any wine connoisseur. This man knows some about wine! Elliot, I REALLY enjoy reading your tasting notes: extensive, inviting, perfect humor when proffered, and obvioulsy intelligent and experienced. Check it out.
